Your voice counts! You are invited to join your fellow tourism partners from across the state of Missouri for “Capitol Days for Tourism” tentatively scheduled for February 21-22, 2018 in Jefferson City. This is the one key time of the year when our industry members join together in our state’s Capitol Building.
There has never been a greater need for the tourism industry to come together to let legislators know the importance of tourism funding to Missouri’s overall economic health and to express how much we appreciate and need their continued support.
From 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21st, we’ll be providing an educational workshop, Legislatively Speaking. We’ll provide attendees with 1) an overview of Missouri’s budget and the current state of Missouri’s economy, 2) an update from the Missouri Division of Tourism, 3) a discussion regarding our 2018 legislative priorities and 4) talking points and other tips to make your Capitol visit more effective. The cost for this workshop is only $25 per person, which includes a box lunch.
Pancake Breakfast in the Capitol RotundaThe Pancake Breakfast is planned for Thursday, February 22nd at 7:30 a.m. on the third floor of the Capitol Rotunda. The cost for the Pancake Breakfast is $20 per person, which includes breakfast.
Whether you are new to the Capitol or a seasoned visitor, please plan now to be a part of this grassroots lobbying event. With your help, we can fill the Capitol with constituents from all across Missouri that will highlight the fact that tourism matters! We hope to see you at this important event!
Capitol Days for Tourism is jointly sponsored by Missouri Travel Council, Missouri Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus, Missouri Association of Fairs & Festivals and Missouri Hotel & Lodging Association.
