Job Description Department: Sales and Marketing Position Status: Full Time - Year Round Reports To: Director of Sales and Marketing Responsible for producing group room nights and revenue through telephone, correspondence and personal solicitation. 1. Direct telemarketing and prospecting of Delphi sales group accounts based on assigned territory. 2. Prospect and cold call in respective territory to generate new business accounts. 3. Generate and facilitate all administrative work (contracts, proposals, letters, forecast, trip reports, trade shows, and expense reports). 4. Attend trade show and make outside sales calls in assigned territories. 5. Handle on property site inspections, Entertainment events i.e. customer lunches and dinners. PHYSICAL DEMANDS 1. By performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. 2. The employee is frequently required to sit. 3. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. ATTENDANCE 1. Punctuality and regular attendance are expected. COMPANY PERFORMANCE STANDARD REQUIREMENTS 1. Will perform all duties in a safe manner, observing all safety procedures and report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner. 2. Will be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property. 3. All jewelry is prohibited except for wedding rings and watches and approved earrings for female employees. Male employees may not wear earrings while on duty. 4. Be attentive to any object, condition, or action that may cause accidents and/or injuries to a guest or fellow employee. Report all unsafe conditions. 5. Will not sleep on duty. 6. Will not use tobacco in any form on the premises during work hours. 7. Must subscribe to proper grooming, dress, and uniform standards as set forth by Company policy. 8. Will be proper and courteous to all guests, and work compatibly with all departments of Lodge of Four Seasons LLC. 9. Will maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Lodge of Four Seasons LLC Employee Handbook.
Required Skills & Experience SKILLS, ABILITIES, REQUIREMENTS 1. Must have excellent guest service skills. 2. Must be able to effectively communicate with clients and guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Responsible for thorough knowledge of rate structure, room types, and overall structure of all departments in the Hotel and their specific areas of responsibility. 2. Responsible for timely communication with existing client base, prospecting for new clients, and handling cold calls. 3. Responsible for written documentation of each solicitation, appropriate follow up or action and proper trace time. 4. When booking, responsible for preparing proper contract with follow up to include blocking function space and thereafter acting as liaison between client and Convention Coordinator. 5. Coordinate with Reservations adequate room block and designation of VIP\'s, hospitality suites, and reservation cut off rates. 6. Insure that while in house, the program is executed smoothly and according to the client\'s direction. 7. Attend resume meetings when scheduled by Conference Services. 8. At the direction of the Director of Sales, attend trade shows, state association functions and take sales trips to call on existing and potential clients. 9. At the direction of the Director of Sales, attend Sales Department meetings, marketing and/or strategy meetings or in house committee meetings. 10. At the direction of the Director of Sales, lend input related to fiscal budget, room night, and room revenue objectives. 11. All of the above and any other related duties as directed by the Director of Sales. 12. Generate revenue for the resort via definite group bookings. 13. Achieve and exceed revenue goals. 14. Manage assigned sales territories via telemarketing, prospecting, and outside sales trip to respective territories. 15. Submit a weekly sales activity report to Director of Sales and Marketing on Monday, summarizing upcoming week and sales action plans. SKILLS, ABILITIES, REQUIREMENTS 1. Educational Requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 1. High School Education Degree a must. 2. Recommend a 4 year Degree, BS or BA. 3. 3 - 5 years sales experience.
Salary Commensurate with experience.
